Many of our clients with Self-Managed Superannuation (SMSFs) have asked about Australian property investment options within super.
I am pleased to share a recent video presentation I have prepared, exploring whether Australian property is a suitable investment for SMSFs, either on a direct or indirect basis.
The Australian property market has long been regarded as a reliable investment option for many Australians. However, within an SMSF, the rules, compliance requirements, and borrowing limitations can make direct property ownership more complex. In this presentation, we examine the pros and cons of direct ownership and also explore alternative ways to gain exposure to residential property.
SMATS Consortium has recently launched the SMATS Residential Property Investment Trust, providing access to a diversified Australian residential property portfolio without the significant capital contribution or debt burden often associated with direct ownership. This structure makes the Australian residential property market more accessible for SMSF investors seeking property exposure.
We hope you enjoy the presentation. Should you have any questions or wish to discuss the options further, please do not hesitate to contact us.
